Are you a student interested in traveling on a CHA educational tour? Do you know other classmates who want to join you? Here's how to get your CHA tour off the ground:

In order to travel on a CHA tour, you will first need to find a teacher in your school to serve as your group’s leader and chaperone. Approach the teachers you feel will be most interested in traveling overseas. There may already be several teachers in your school or in neighboring schools who have traveled abroad with CHA in the past. If not, we recommend that you contact foreign language, history, art, music and literature teachers first as they will be most interested in the countries we visit and the tours we offer. Be sure to give teachers CHA’s toll-free number and website address so they can get more information about our tours.

To order a tour catalog for yourself and a Welcome Package for your teacher, use our convenient
on-line order form.

Promoting Your Tour
Once you have found a teacher to function as your group’s leader, be sure to lend a helping hand in promoting the tour. Spread the word about the trip to your friends and family, and encourage your teacher to organize a meeting after school to meet with potential travelers and to answer questions. You'll soon be on your way to a memorable and exciting overseas adventure!

How To Enroll
Your group leader will provide potential travelers with CHA's Tour Enrollment Booklets and copies of the tour itinerary he/she has selected for your group. Once participants are ready to enroll, each individual may choose to do so either by mail (with a payment in the form of a personal check or money order) or online at www.cha-tours.com (using a major credit card).

After You Enroll
Approximately two weeks after we receive your enrollment, CHA will mail you you a detailed tour account statement (listing your tour cost and payment deadlines) along with an introductory travel newsletter with important information about obtaining your passport and travel insurance.

Before You Travel
Approximately one month before you leave, your teacher will give you a copy of CHA’s Pre-Departure Guide which contains a variety of useful travel information to prepare you for your trip with advice on packing, foreign currencies, shopping, weather, suggested reading and much more! Along with your travel guide, you will also receive a CHA backpack and luggage tag for use while you travel. Your airline ticket and list of assigned hotels will be given out by your teacher a few days before you leave.

Remember, all the details of coordinating your tour with CHA’s staff will be accomplished through your teacher. To keep up-to-date on your tour, be sure to stay in regular contact with your teacher in the months before you travel and to attend any meetings he or she organizes.
